Around the US in postcards

This works on a very similar idea to the around the world in postcards project but i want to create a special book just for the US (all 52 states + the world would take up far to much room and make the book giant ). The guidelines are the same except for country you need to say which state you are representing.

i want to create a postcard book with a postcard from each state in the USA in. (I will send everyone who sends me a postcard one back!) I want to bind them all into a little book which i can enjoy reading about the USA and seeing the sights from the comfort of my arm chair.

All you need to do is

• email me if your interested and which country your from (ayirrell@gmail.com) and i’ll email you my address
• Then send me a postcard (6 x 4 inches or 10 x 15 cm) through the post naked, no envelopes.
• Either store bought cards or handmade cards would be great as long as they have a 2 cm gap (free from writing and embellishments) down the left hand side ( when horizontal with the writing side facing you)
• Please include who you are
• The name of the project i get a lot of postcards through the post and this makes it easier for me to know who they are from.
• Where you are from (state)
• What the capital city is
• And a little bit about yourself

I will photograph every postcard i received and put them on my flickr account in a special folder for all to see.

Around the world in postcards projects

I had an inspiration the other night. I am ‘travelling’ round the world through a travelling journal on bookcrossing meeting lots of new people and thought what fun it would be to have the world come to me through my letter box in postcard form.
